The Bubble people build their cities at the bottom of lakes, pulling bubbles down from the surface to encase their buildings with the atmosphere needed to breathe and survive. The Bubble people have a high respect for chemistry and enjoy performing exciting (and often dangerous) experiments.

Above the surface, they use their bubble scarfs to carry the unique material they use for making bubbles. In battle, they’re able to grab bubbles out of the scarf, fill them with explosives or other chemicals, and throw them at enemies. If needed, they can form large bubbles to float away, and the most agile of the Bubble gnomes are able to leap from bubble to bubble as they create them, keeping them a safe distance from harm. While their clothes are made to keep them warm in the deeps of the water, they provide little protection, and the Bubble gnomes have adapted thus to avoid enemies instead of meeting them head on.

As of now, there are four different gnomish factions in the world of Puppet Legion. There are the Pumpkins, the Mushrooms, the Stars, and the Bubbles. Each faction has its respective warriors, mostly to defend themselves from creatures of the taint and the Weasels who frequently attack them out of hatred and a desire to steal the secrets of their technology.

The Mushrooms live underground, for the most part, although a few military outposts can be found in the marshy swamplands. Using the gigantic mushrooms that are cultivated in the earth, they make machinery and tools by various chemical processes that make the mushroom skins tough. Their mushroom armor is bested only by the technology of the Weasels. Between the mushroom tanks and mechanical suits and the safety of the dark caverns where they live, the Mushroom people are well protected and rarely attacked.
